This double spout and bridge bottle is the same form and similar brilliant colors as 64.228.89. The balanced, curvilinear shape of the body was achieved without the use of a pottery wheel. The principal components of the vessel were all formed separately by hand. Spouts were likely modeled around would have been made separately and the bridge formed by hand to attach the spouts together. The double spout and bridge would have then been attached to the body of the vessel. The artist’s choose to emphasize their incised designs. Winged figures are on either side of the vessel, their features are segmented through the use of yellow, red, and green paint. Geometric shapes pattern the rest of the vessel, with the use of alternating colors of reds and greens to emphasize each segmented shape. This type of vessel is rarely found outside of funerary contexts.
